The safe if pretty basic. Metal box that locks and fits your guns. The safe comes with these foam inserts that you place inside your safe with tape. These foam inserts are alright, but they give whenever you place the weight of a shotgun or rifle on the foam. The safe will not hold as many guns as advertised if you have guns with scopes. Every gun with a scope will take up 2 spots so be prepared for that if you choose this safe.

In the end this safe is good if you know what your getting. Its a basic safe without insulation or much protection. If your looking to keep your kids away from your guns then this safe is perfect, but if your looking for something to keep thief's out then this will not cut it.

You get what you pay for so be prepared to get a basic safe!

I payed $109.99 on sale here..for that price it's just what you want. Someone with a pry bar could bend the door open pretty fast and it's not fire or apocalypse proof or anything. But it will keep your kids from messing with the guns..and or quiet the wife up about all the guns laying around! It is a bit short if you install the top half shelf. So you will have to tip most barrels out in a bit of a mess..or leave the shelf out. OH..and the keys are taped to it when you un-box if your fate is like mine you will lose them! Eventually I did find the keys under some of the packaging, but they should secure the keys in a bright orange thingy.

Found this on Amazon for $125.00 with free super saver shipping.........sounded like a pretty good deal. Well the cardboard box this comes in provides no protection at all. Only a thin 1/2 inch piece of flat styrofoam placed at the top and bottom end of the box. My cabinet was beat to hell. the top and bottom front corners were really bad, with dings all over. The funny thing is the box appeared to be intact. Don't know if the damage occured during factory wharehouse handling or in shipping. I've heard alot of similer complaints about Stack On cabinets. I would reccomend buying from a retail store location where you can inpect the product before you get it home. I took a wooded block and a mini sledge to mine a knoked the corners back into square. The paint is chipped really bad in this area but i can live with it. It is a nice functional cabinet...i don't know about fitting ten guns in though, I have 5 scoped rifles and 2 shotguns and it is tight in there. Keeps them safe from the kids though!

This is a great cabinet for the money, a good deal all around. If you only have a few guns, and dont want to spend alot of money this is the cabinet for you.
