I cannot recommend these gloves unless you have a HUGE hand and have a great deal of time to put them on. I don't know how they would function as heat resistent gloves, I didn't try to use them. I don't believe they were as descibed and sent them back.

I can't tell you how many hundreds of times I've singed my hands or burned my arms while grilling or reaching into a hot oven. Whether you have a gas or charcoal grill, a camp stove, or cook large pots on the stove top or roasters in the oven you have to buy a set of these gloves. You'll stop using hot pads for removing things from the oven and start using them for only putting hot things on a countertop. I like the fact the gloves come all the way up my forearm, almost to my elbow. I can reach into the oven with no fear of burning my arms or hands by inadvertently touching a rack or the sides of the hot oven. Putting BBQ sauce on chicken breasts or baby back ribs on the back or middle of the grill was always an experiment in how much pain I could endure before I yanked my hand back. No more. Finally, I no longer fear steam burns when dumping a large pot of spaghetti out of the boiling water into the strainer. The old kitchen saying "if you can't stand the heat stay out of the kitchen" no longer applies. The occasional burn is now a thing of the past around our house. These gloves are GREAT!
